Our mission

WISH Kitties is dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation, and rehoming of stray, abandoned, and vulnerable cats. We provide localised TNR community programs and support services to improve feline welfare across Sydney's eastern suburbs and surrounds.

We work across the full spectrum of animal welfare — from street to home — with a focus on humane, evidence-based approaches that make a lasting difference for cats and the communities they live alongside.

What we do

Our programs

Six interconnected programs make up our work, each supporting the others to give cats the best possible outcome.

🐱

Rescue & Rehabilitation

We rescue cats and other animals in need across Sydney, providing veterinary care, foster homes, and the love they need to recover and thrive.

✂️

Desexing Advocacy

We actively facilitate and promote the desexing of owned pet cats and community cats — the single most effective way to reduce overpopulation humanely.

🏠

Adoption & Rehoming

We match cats with loving forever homes, supporting both animals and adopters to ensure successful, lasting placements.

📚

Community Education

We educate the public on responsible pet ownership, the benefits of desexing, and the humane treatment of stray and community animals.

🤝

Foster Network

Our dedicated network of foster carers provides temporary homes for cats awaiting adoption — no experience necessary, just love.

📣

Animal Welfare Advocacy

We advocate at the community level for policies that reflect the humane treatment of all companion and community animals.
